PolyOne to Buy Spartech
Major compounder PolyOne Corp.has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Spartech Corp.
Major compounder , Cleveland, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire , St. Louis, the leading North American producer of sheet for thermoforming and also a major supplier of rigid barrier packaging and specialty cast acrylics. Like PolyOne, it also makes color concentrates and specialty compounds. Spartech operates 30 facilities in the U.S., Mexico, Canada, and France and has sales around $1.2 billion. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2013.
