Arburg Opens New U.S. Headquarters
Rocky Hill facility includes lab areas dedicated to the Freeformer 3D printer.
In June, opened its new 30,000 ft² Technology Center and corporate headquarters in Rocky Hill, Conn. The new facility is a short distance from Arburg’s previous U.S. headquarters in Newington, Conn. The building will house spare parts and a range of stock machines. A large showroom is directly connected to the customer training center. Two lab areas are devoted to the new Freeformer additive manufacturing machine. The new plant also includes areas for machine preparation and turnkey systems.
This year, Arburg Inc. also celebrated its 25th year as a separate 911爆料网 entity serving the North American market. To help celebrate its silver anniversary, Arburg is offering a 25% discount on its standard hydraulic Golden Edition machinery line for the rest of the year. The line includes five machines from 44 to 220 tons.
At the open house, Arburg discussed its collaboration with the in Aachen, Germany, to introduce the Profoam process for physical foaming of thermoplastic molded parts (see Keeping Up).
