Injection molding and die-casting machine manufacturer Yizumi-HPM, Iberia, Ohio, is rebranding as Yizumi, in a move that aligns “with the company’s global identity and growth strategy,” the company said in a press release. Beyond a name change, this announcement also marks a transition away from legacy HPM-designed equipment and toward a renewed focus on delivering advanced Yizumi technology across the region, the company said. The company also noted that it will continue to provide services and support for legacy HPM machines.
“Yizumi is our core global brand, and this rebranding reinforces our commitment to innovation, consistency and customer experience,” Joe Liang, general manager of Yizumi North America, said in the release. “We are no longer producing HPM-designed machines, and this step aligns our North American operations fully with Yizumi’s global product development and quality standards.”
Founded in 1877 in Mt. Gilead, Ohio, HPM — the Hydraulic Press Manufacturing Company — has a long history in machinery. In recent years, Yizumi says it has evolved the company’s product portfolio and technological direction to reflect its global R&D and design standards. The unified Yizumi brand will now represent all North American sales, service and support operations. “While the HPM name carries history, the Yizumi brand represents our future,” Liang said. “We’re excited to continue delivering next-generation solutions under a single, powerful brand.”
Yizumi-HPM Corp. was created in 2017, following the 2011 acquisition of the former HPM’s intellectual assets. Acquired by Taylor’s Industrial Services (TIS) in 2001, TIS-HPM was liquidated via bankruptcy in 2009. In 2017, Yizumi moved the U.S. headquarters from Marion, Ohio, to a new a 28,000-ft2 technical center in Iberia, Ohio. In 2024, it nearly doubled that facility with an expansion to 44,000-ft2.
In an April 2025 release, Yizumi announced that it would speed up its global expansion, with a localization strategy it began last year. The company established technical service centers in Brazil and Thailand, as well as subsidiaries in Mexico and Turkey, plus the aforementioned expansion of the Ohio factory. Yizumi’s goal is to achieve equal sales revenue in both domestic and overseas markets by 2030.
