Chinaplas Adds Recycling Technology Zone
More than 150 exhibitors will be gathered together as part of a new Recycling Technology Zone at Chinaplas 2016, reflecting the country and the industry鈥檚 burgeoning interest in more ecological operations.
Chinaplas organizer, Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd. said exhibitors in the new zone will run the plastics recycling gamut displaying everything from sorting, shredding and cleaning equipment, to dewatering, drying and pelletizing machinery.
Automatic sorting technologies for mixed plastic waste will be of particular interest for the domestic industry, which heretofore has largely relied on manual handling and segregation of scrap, according to Ning Hong Tao, president of the China Plastics Processing Industry Association’s Plastics Recycling Committee.
In terms of technology, exhibitor displays will include Tomra Sorting Technology’s automatic sorting machine, while Austria’s EREMA will features its new generation recycling system with triple degassing: the Intarema TVEplus. Degassing allows the system to take on materials traditionally not recycled, including heavily printed, laminated, and metalized films. Chinaplas 2016, the 30th edition, will take place from April 25-28 April at the Shanghai New International Expo Center.
