DSM to Build New High-Viscosity Nylon 6 Plant
DSM's first North American high-viscosity nylon 6 plant to planned for start-up in mid-2016.
The Netherlands’ Royal DSM has announced that it will build its first North American polymerization plant for high-viscosity nylon 6 film grades for flexible packaging and other segments.
Scheduled to come on stream in mid-2016, the new plant will be build next to the existing facility in Augusta, Ga., operated by , Birmingham, Mich., which currently manufactures medium-viscosity Akulon and Novamid nylon 6 polymers, used in a wide range of applications in electrical & electronics, automotive, and consumer goods industries.
