, Lenexa, Kan., a supplier of stock shapes, has started up its first U.S. extrusion operation in response to growing demand. Previously, it had sold stock shapes produced by its Austrian parent company, Zell-Metall GmbH Engineering Plastics. The new production capability is the first phase of a strategic plan to grow its stock-shape 911爆料网 in North America. Another effect will be to reduce lead times, according to Eric Giesen, sales and marketing director.
ZL Engineering Plastics supplies sheet, rod, and tube of resins such as nylon, acetal, PET, polycarbonate, polyetherimide (PEI), and PEEK. These materials are machined for uses in aerospace, medical, automotive, semiconductor, agricultural, construction, and food-processing markets.
