Priamus Joins Stable of Hot-Runner Suppliers
Three hot-runner makers and a controls supplier come under the same umbrella.
, a supplier of temperature and pressure sensors and injection process-control systems, has been purchased by Barnes Group Inc. of Bristol, Conn. Priamus is based in Switzerland and has U.S. offices in Brunswick, Ohio. Barnes Group is a 158-year-old industrial and aerospace manufacturer and service provider. Its industrial segment includes three hot-runner suppliers: , Peabody, Mass.; in Germany (U.S. office in Lawrenceville, Ga.); and of Italy, represented here by , Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. Priamus sources see opportunities in combining its FillControl system with Barnes Group’s hot-runner valve-gate technologies such as Synventive’s activeGate.
