Rethink Robotics Expands in Germany
Signs distribution agreement with two automation companies.
announced today a distribution agreement with and to deliver its smart, collaborative robot, Sawyer, to Germany as part of the country’s Industrie 4.0 initiative.
Freise Automation will be the exclusive distributor of Sawyer in northern Germany while HAHN Robotics, and its parent company HAHN Automation, will manage the distribution of Sawyer in southern Germany, as well as Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Turkey.
Germany is investing $1.5 trillion to help drive the growth of smart factories, and Rethink’s partnerships in Germany will increase the company’s international footprint in the EU while helping manufacturers in the country increase workforce efficiency, the firm said.
