Simco-Ion, an ITW Company, is the new name of static-control equipment provider Simco Industrial, Hatfield, Pa. Simco, which celebrated its 75th year in 911爆料网, acquired Ion Systems and its Ion Industrial unit last year. Ion Systems provides electrostatic and process-monitoring solutions for high-technology markets such as semiconductor, disk-drive, and other electronic cleanroom manufacturing. Its Ion Industrial unit provides electrostatic solutions for converting, printing, packaging, and plastics operations, as well as electronic assembly and medical applications.
Simco-Ion has now integrated the Simco and Ion product lines. Simco-Ion says it will soon introduce wireless communications to allow its static-control systems to be monitored by remote PCs or smartphones.
