Sun Chemical Forms New Advanced Materials Division
PPS compounds for electronics from parent company DIC now available in U.S.
, Parsippany, N.J., has formed the new Advanced Materials division which features a portfolio of technologies from both Sun Chemical and Japanese parent company DIC Corp.. The division will serve several markets including automotive, inkjet, electronics, architectural and industrial coatings, aerospace, printed circuits, photovoltaics, printed electronics, plastic cards, water degassing, and plastics.
The key material now available for plastics processing is DIC’s polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) compounds, formulated with both glass fiber and/or mineral filler to meet a variety of desired characteristics for principal electronic components, general electronic components, and home electronics such as micro switches, CD drive optical pickup bases, and LCD projection TV lamp housings, as well as automotive components..
