Super Sessions Provide Expert Insights into Trending Topics
From “Industrial IoT” to “Particulate-Free Plastic Welding Technologies,” this week you can take a deep dive into important topics (and rest your feet!) at new Expert Super Sessions.
The Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) launched the new Expert Super Sessions as an educational forum for industry experts to provide an insider’s vantage point into the latest technologies and trends in plastics manufacturing.
Every day of the show save Friday will feature the hour-long Super Sessions in the West Hall. Except for a special one-and-a-half hour presentation from the Taiwanese External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) on level four, room W414B; the rest of the sessions will take place on level two in room W203A. Presenting companies include FANUC, Oden Technologies, Lubrizol, A. Schulman, Mobil, UL, Dukane, Micro Interface Design, and TSM Control Systems.
There will be multiple sessions addressing Industry 4.0, as well as material-focused talks looking at the packaging market, building and construction, and surface protection for graphics, among others. Other talks address automation, more efficient hydraulic fluids, 3D printing of safety-critical parts, particulate free welding, dosing/dispensing additives, and recycled TPVs.
“We are giving NPE2018 attendees expanded and improved opportunities to learn from peers and thought leaders, maximizing their experience in Orlando. Expert Super Sessions were re-named for NPE2018 to reflect their true purpose—to give plastics experts a forum to present their industry-changing ideas and insights,” says Susan Krys, vice president of tradeshows and marketing at PLASTICS. “The sessions give attendees the unique opportunity to hear straight from the sources that are shaping the industry.
