Germany’s (U.S. office in High Point, N.C.) has opened what is said to be the largest and most advanced development center in Bad Marienberg, Germany, in the field of environmental technology. The 17,000 sq.ft. technology center is equipment with over 25 machines representing a comprehensive range of mechanical technologies for the processing, recycling or repurposing of waste and biomass. With this new center, Vecoplan now covers the entire value chain of complex processes in-house, thus accelerating R&D time and allowing for efficient test times.

Processors can conduct comprehensive tests on their specific materials across customized systems that incorporate all necessary technologies. Over 350 industrial, political and media leaders from the international environmental industry attended the grand opening. Says Enrico Siewart, president of a plastics recycling company and QRS recycling division in St. Louis, Mo., “I’m impressed by Vecoplan’s new Technology Center, and the ability to do real-world testing on my material is what interests me the most. I’ve already scheduled a test at the facility.”
