, Inc., a subsidiary of high-performance injection molder Ensinger Precision Components, Inc., Washington, Penn., has purchased the assets of Poly-Tech Industrial, Inc., Huntersvile, N.C. Founded in 2001 by Dan Cedrone, Poly-Tech Industrial has become known for its technically oriented solutions, combining high-performance material knowledge with practical application experience. Cedrone will join Ensinger as technical sales & applications development director. Ensinger’s John Tremblay, who will lead the new entity as v.p. & general manager, noted, “The addition of Poly-Tech’s engineering and manufacturing capabilities in high-performance materials truly compliment Ensinger Precision Component’s value proposition of providing our customers pellet to part solutions.”

Ensinger Precision Components specializes in injection molding high performance thermoplastic parts and near-net shapes, as well as PEEK tubes and the Plastock line of mechanical drive components. Bringing these capabilities together with Poly-Tech Industrial’s innovative design and manufacturing acumen will enable users to seamlessly take their application ideas from infancy to commercial maturity.

Poly-Tech is a master stocking distributor of both engineering and high performance solid polymer shapes for manufacturers such as Ensinger, I.L. Norplex, and Pennfibre. They stock a wide variety of sheet, rod, tubing and films of many commonly used thermoplastic and composite materials. Their in house 5-axis CNC machining capabilities including milling and turning for all types of materials including plastics, aluminum and hardened steel.

Germany’s family-owned Ensinger Group is engaged in the global development, manufacture and sale of compounds, semi-finished materials, composites, technical parts and profiles made of engineering and high-performance plastics. To process these thermoplastic polymers, Ensinger uses a wide range of production techniques such as extrusion, machining, injection molding, compression molding, casting, sintering and additive manufacturing. In early 2022, the company acquired the StyLight thermoplastic composite 911±¬ÁÏÍø from Ineos Styrolution; an acquisition that added an exclusive SAN-based product range to Ensinger’s comprehensive thermoplastic composite portfolio.
