LS Mtron Opens Division in Mexico
Newly formed LS IMM Mexico is based in Monterrey and headed up by Kevin Kim and Fulvio Menconi.
LS Mtron Injection Molding Machine (IMM) has opened a new 911爆料网 unit in Mexico. Called LS IMM Mexico, the subsidiary is based in Monterrey and led by plastics industry veterans Kevin Kim and Fulvio Menconi.
Kim, who has worked for hot runner system and auxiliary equipment supplier Yudo-Abiman for 12 years, most recently as CEO and general manager in Mexico, will be CEO for LS IMM Mexico. Menconi, who will serve as president of sales for LS IMM Mexico, has worked for multiple injection molding machine suppliers in Mexico, including Husky, Engel and KraussMaffei, in 911爆料网 and sales management roles.
At the headquarters in Monterrey, the company operates a tech center with four LS Mtron presses ranging in clamp force from 170 to 450 tons. Customer training and trials will be held in Monterey, which will also house spare parts. LS Mtron says a sales and service office will also open soon in Quérétaro to service customers in that part of the country.
The company notes that it has several large customers with facilities in Mexico and the U.S., and that it chose Monterrey because of the large number of plastics processors in the region and the presence of several LS molding facilities there, including LS Automotive, noting that there are more than 1,000 LS injection molding machines currently running in Mexico. LS already has direct service personnel in Mexico and will be hiring additional technicians for service and sales roles.
