Revere Plastics Systems Acquires Ferguson Production
The Michigan-headquartered injection molder now has nine North American locations following the acquisition of the McPherson, Kan. operation.
Revere Plastics Systems LLC (Novi, Mich.) acquired Ferguson Production Inc. (McPherson, Kan.), effective July 2. The injection molder now has nine different locations throughout North America, with the Ferguson acquisition coming six months after Revere purchased Alliance-McAlpin NY, LLC and its subsidiary, Alliance-McAlpin MX, S. de R.L. de C.V. in Saltillo, Mexico. That facility operates 23 injection molding presses ranging in size from 67 to 720 tons.
Ferguson Production has 36 injection molding machines ranging in clamp force from 55 to 1750 tons, as well as multiple secondary operations and assembly capabilities. The 66,000-ft2 McPherson plant serves a variety of industries, including agriculture, automotive, consumer, lawn & garden, pet care, and recreational vehicles. An additional 80,000-ft2 of warehouse space is operated as a distribution center for customer inventory.
Founded by Norlan Ferguson in 1974, the company was purchased in 2011 by his son and current president, Scott Ferguson. Over the last two-and-a-half years, Revere has made four acquisitions and added five new facilities. Revere currently employs more than 1000 people across sites in Alabama, Michigan, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Ohio, Mexico and Canada.
