Low Temperature Portable Chiller Product Line Expanded
Mokon now offers the Iceman low-temperature line of portable chillers with dual-circuit capacity control.
Circulating-liquid temperature control supplier Mokon, Buffalo, New York, has expanded its low-temperature portable chiller product line to include dual circuit capacities of 15 and 20 tons. Dual circuits provide chilling capacities as high as 107,350 Btu/hr. at -20°F (-29°C) and 300,200 Btu/hr. a 20°F (-7°C). Mokon says this design lowers the number of systems required for larger industrial applications, saving space, as well as multiple electrical and mechanical connections.
Operating temperatures from -20°F to 20°F (-29°C to -7°C) make these chillers suitable for a variety of industrial applications. In a single circuit, the Iceman LT Series portable chillers have tonnage capacities of 2, 3, 5, 7.5 and 10 tons, with dual circuits adding 15- and 20-ton capacities. They are available with air- or water-cooled condensing; a semihermetic discus compressor; insulated nonferrous plumbing and components; a brazed plate evaporator; microprocessor-based controller; and freeze stat protection. Mokon notes that custom designs, options, international certifications and accessories are available.
