Stainless Steel Sealing Plugs Offer High Corrosion Resistance
Hasco says the plugs, which are used for diverting flows in temperature control systems and sealing drilled holes, are ideal for use in medical and clean-room spaces.
Hasco has introduced the new Z9425/.../VA sealing plugs. Fabricated from stainless steel and particularly suited for use in clean rooms, the plugs allow reliable cooling of injection molding tools when using hot or cold water or heat transfer oil. The sealing plugs are temperature-resistant up to 180°C and have high corrosion resistance. Internal pressures in the cooling system of up to 10 bar (145 psi) are possible.
Assembly is simplified thanks to the Torx geometry of the fixing screw. Hasco says this design allows torque to be reliably transmitted without any damage to the inner profile. The suppliers notes that while assembly with horizontal drilled cooling holes can be done by hand, it is advisable with vertical cooling holes to slightly increase the size of the sealing plug before mounting it by screwing in the Torx screw and exploiting the friction with the wall of the drilled hole. This enables controlled positioning even with vertical installation.
