Thermoforming System Allows Use of Molds from Different Manufacturers

A new thermoforming production system with a variable mold interface and an attractive price-performance ratio has been introduced, and is being showcased for the first time later this month at Chinaplas by According to Illig, the RedLine RDF 85 meets the need of many customers for a thermoforming machine that allows the use of molds from different manufacturers.
In Shanghai, Illig will present the first RDF85 running with a nine-cavity mold made by an Illig tool cooperation partner to produce APET trays. Numerous RDF 85 systems have already been ordered for the market launch. The RedLine segment complements the company’s BlueLine production systems, said to remain the global benchmark for high-performance thermoforming machines. Illig says, it RedLine machines comprise “a new segment of thermoformers in an attractive price-performance ratio” and is offered with the usual high quality and safety standards.
